EDEM is the market-leading Discrete Element Method (DEM) software for bulk material simulation.

EDEM software is used for ‘virtual testing’ of equipment that handles or processes bulk materials in the manufacturing of mining, construction, off-highway and agricultural machinery, as well as in the mining and process industries.

We were asked to design a set of custom icons for their DEM software. We produced several style concepts from 3 designers, in a variety of colours, developing the preferred concept through several iterations to arrive at a final approved design style. The remaining icons were designed to the established style and rendered in 16×16 & 32×32 pixel sizes in PNG & SVG formats.

This project was managed and completed using our unique Icon Manager software that allows everyone involved in the project to view, comment and approve on the designs as they are created, simplifying the process and allowing the creativity to flow more easily.
